Sprout Baby Sleep Tracker App Reviews

Eh, too general

A little bummed I paid for this app. I used iBaby for my first to keep track of his sleep but thought Id find the Trends option useful from this app. The features are too general and few for an app exclusively for sleep. The Trends option is difficult to read. Plus side, there are so few things you can do with this app that the interface is clean/easy to use.

Great app - one major flaw

I love almost everything about this app. It makes it super easy to track my babys naps and sleep patterns, and I can connect it over multiple devices so my husband and I both have access to it. When hes on his way home from work he can open the app to see if the baby is sleeping and then knows if he can open our loud garage door or not. However, I dont like that the totals chart only goes from 12am to 12am. I want to be able to adjust the hours so I can add up her night time sleep easier. How long she sleeps at night is what we are trying to base our nap times around and Im having a difficult time figuring that out everyday. I will give this app 5 stars if that is adjusted.

Simple=Good

Does exactly what I need, which is tracks his sleep. I like that you can write notes. One thing I would like is an option that times how long it takes him to fall asleep. Overall, I like it!

Great app for collecting sleep data!

I purchased this app so we could analyze the sleep patterns of our 3.5 month old. Our other app kept a log of when she slept but didnt help us analyze the stats which made it tricky to pick out patterns and create a schedule. This app was exactly what we needed and was well worth the money...thank you!

Worth the cost

I tried free apps for sleep tracking. This one is by far the best and worth the cost!

Well...

Wont let me edit start time with new IOS update. Bummer. Was a good feature.

Easy to track and edit timing

I got this to track my four month olds sleep because I was having trouble figuring out her nap schedule. Ive been liking the charts to help me find patterns in her natural sleep rhythms from day to day. I also really like that its easy to edit and adjust times. So if I forget to start the timer, I can go back and add the time in later, delete an entry if I think shes fallen asleep and wakes up a minute later. Thats been helpful.

Should have started with Sprout Baby instead...

Check out Sprout Baby before you buy this app. For $4.99 it includes Sprout Sleep plus a lot of other features. My advice: start with the free version, it lets you test the full app (including the Sprout Sleep tool!) for 14 days. Note my review concerns the cost of the app not its functionality. I would give this a better review if I didnt feel like I just wasted money.

Good sleep tracking app

Good app. Functions well. Used to track during sleep training

Ok but not great

Its helpful to keep track of naps for the current day, but useless looking back at past days. You cant edit naps over a day old or reset everything so if you forget to turn a nap off or dont use it for a day, all your data is completely messed up and useless. The only way to view old naps is on a graph that you cant zoom in on which makes it difficult to see exact times. I dont know why they wont let you scroll thru/edit old data.

useful but with significant issues

We each have this app on our phone and have had multiple sync issues. - Starting and stopping across devices appears to be broken, and some time counts have turned out to be wildly wrong. Some of this might be user error but the app itself seems dodgy in its performance even when we do simple, same-device operations. - the data sheets keep showing huge (12+ hour) blocks of sleep time that never happened. The UI on the sleep/wake toggle is unclear as well, and if you need to correct a resulting mistake then you find a major iOS 9 bug that makes the start-time adjustment very difficult. Sprout is pushing their newer all-in-one baby metrics app as the solution, so not sure why theyre still selling this on the app store.

Wont sync

I cannot get this version of the app to sync with the install my wife has. Hers is always accurate, mine says hes been sleeping for days.

Sleep tracking

Very helpful for helping track my babys sleep. Do wish the tracking data read from top left to right!

Good start but could use some improvements

I like the app, but heres some suggestions: 1. Be able to put if the day is good or bad, so you can see how much sleep a baby gets on a good day. Im still trying to figure out how much sleep my baby needs to be happy! 2. Send alerts based on baby age, like you baby is 7 weeks old and has been awake for 2 hours. Time to consider putting baby down for a nap before she gets overtired 3. Add a way to track what your baby is sleeping in (cosleeper, crib, swing, stroller, carrier) and then compare length of sleep, so you could see where your baby sleeps for the longest stretches. 4. Maybe show if (based on age) your baby is not getting the recommended day or night time sleep. All would be helpful for a new mama. Thanks!
